I heard that on a flight once. At the moment the announcement came over the loudspeaker, it was clear the airline wasn't trying to be old school prim and proper. Break all of the rules. They were made to be broken after all. Were they not?
Today, I thought I'd share some thoughts on art...
Andy Warhol: “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
Steve Peters: "It's not an artist's job to please anyone, but to bravely do the work that they are most compelled to do. It's the public's job to bravely seek out and appreciate the work that resonates with them."
Kippenberger : “A Good artist has less time than ideas.” (And that's a fact).
Peter Dragon "I am an artist. When you buy from me you are buying 100s of hours of failures and experiments. You are buying a piece of my heart and soul, a moment of my life."
Alberto Giacometti : “The object of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity.” Picasso : "I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else." And that is exactly what happened with this post).
"Overthinking art ensures a bad result, you need to feel the piece" . You can quote me on that one....
Enjoy Dali
Cheers, ~Sarah
